My name is Lucie McDonald and I am a 2025 SS/2B from St. Johns, Florida where I am a sophomore at Bartram Trail High School. I also play travel ball for Atlanta Vipers 07 - Maldonado. I have been playing softball since I was five years old and have a lot of passion for the sport. I’ve been involved in other sports including basketball, volleyball and gymnastics, but I’ve always chose softball as my top priority. I am determined to reach my goal of playing in college and will work as hard as I can to get there. I believe my athleticism and speed at my position helps set me apart from other players. I am willing to do whatever it takes to get the ball and make the play. I have a strong arm with an OH of 62 and quick transfer with an IF Pop Time of 1.33. After completing the 2021 season I batted .460 with 187 at bats with10 home runs. During my freshman year at Bartram I started every inning at short stop and batted .467 with 6 home runs. I’m aggressive at the plate with an exit velocity of 71 while batting second or third in the lineup. In the classroom, my GPA is 3.83 while in all advanced classes. I would like to major in Education. Playing softball has helped me make life long friends, stay disciplined, and have a good work ethic. It would be an amazing opportunity to play at the next level and I am very excited to live that dream! |
